National-level Seminar at St Agnes College from July 14 to 16

Mangalore-A national-level seminar on "Information Technology and Communication to Improve the Standard of Higher Education" has been organized at St Agnes College here from July 14 to 16. This news was announced here at a press conference by college principal Sr M Carmel Rita on Monday, July 11.

This seminar has been sponsored by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and will be inaugurated by general manager of Karnataka bank P Jayaram Bhat at 4.30 pm on Thursday, July 14. Dr H S Ballal, chancellor of MAHE deemed university, would deliver the introductory lecture.

The valedictory ceremony will be held on Saturday July 16, at 9.30 pm. Deputy commissioner of the district H V Parshvanath will preside over the ceremony. Ramdas Kamath, senior vice president of Infosys, Bangalore will deliver the valedictory address.

More than 150 lecturers from 30 colleges all over the country will participate in the seminar. During the seminar some well-known scholars and experts in each field will deliver lectures on various topics.

Another national-level seminar sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC) will be held in the college in the month of September, said she.

Vice principal of the college Sr M Prem D'Souza and lecturer Ahalya were present at the press conference.
