Ulhas Kamat appointed director of NRI Affairs

The state government has appointed the former director of tourism, Mr Ulhas Kamat as the director of Non-Resident Indian Affairs and the managing director of Overseas Recruitment Agency in the office of the State Commissioner for NRI, at secretariat on contract basis for a period of one year.

Mr Kamat was earlier serving in the department of tourism and has widely travelled.

Meanwhile, in another order, the under secretary (GA-I), Mr D H Kenaudekar has been transferred and posted as additional collector (Rent Control, Mapusa). The under secretary (GA-II), Mr B S Kudalkar has been asked to hold additional charge of the under secretary (GA-I).

While additional deputy collector (Rent Control, Mapusa), Mr L S R Pereira has been transferred and posted as special land acquisition officer, water resources department, Gogol, Margao.
