The wild animals of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai know him better than the rest of the country. Which is probably why the Animal Planet took so well to Mayur Kamath. The 28-year-old wildlife enthusiast from Mumbai is one of the six chosen from among 34,000 contestant across the world to be a part of the channel’s four-part reality series, Unearthed. Guided by two renowned wildlife filmmakers, Kamath will traipse through South Africa this month to make his movie along with participants from Mexico, Australia, Denmark, Singapore and the UK. While the series will be on air in January 2007, the winner gets to have his film telecast across 160 countries soon after. Whether he wins or not, Kamath is bound to have a wild time.
