Do not waste our children's precious time. Konkani will never die. Start teaching English from day one. Our Goan folks love to work abroad. Give them the tools and language from the pre Kindergarten through all the way up. Konkani will go side by side.
This is the serious time to get real progressive text books for our children. Discard the outdated books. Our children do not have to memorize names of some aliens that are so foreign to them. Those names are sometimes one mile long.
Once again, let Konkani grow together with English from day one in the school system. Konkani should never substitute English. For the job security, our Goan children must learn English better than foreigners (Indians from other parts). Konkani, our mother tongue - will remain forever! Let English be our second mother tongue for keeping our beloved Goa above every other state of Indian Subcontinent in our struggle to get good jobs.
