Konkani Scientific & Technical Terminology workshop begins

Commission of Scientific & Technical Terminology in association with Goa Konkani Akademi has organised a workshop for preparing Scientific & Technical Terminology in Konkani from June 7 to 12 at the premises of Mons Dalgad Library of Goa Konkani Akademi.

Pundalik Naik, president of Goa Konkani Akademi inaugurated the workshop, while Ashok Khumbhalkar, assistant director of the commission has guided the participants of the workshop. Dr Tanaji Harlarnkar, co-ordinator of the workshop and vice-president of Goa Konkani Akademi also spoke on the occasion.
In the workshop Prof Priyadarshini Tadkodkar, Prof Deepa Rani Prabhu, Prof Gurunath Prabhu Khandolkar, Mukesh Thali, Dr Kiran Budkuley are working on Zoological Terminology whereas Dr Kasturi Desai, Dr Chandralekha D’Souza, Vishram Gaonkar, Suresh Borkar and Damodar Ghanekar are working on botanical terminology. Administrative terminology is being done by Prof Prakash Thali, Prof Bhushan Bhave, Prof Prakash Vazrikar, Prof Prakash Paryekar and Dr Rohitashav Sharma.
