BELGAUM: Vishwanth Pai founded The Pai Group of Hotels when he started the first venture Suvarna Mandir at Khade bazaar in Belgaum.
After 12 successful years, the group expanded their business through Pai Hotel in 1960.
In 1990 Pai Group took over a well-known Spencer’s bread company and continued under the same name. Later the name was changed to Pai breads in 1993. Pai Foods at Nehru nagar was started in December 2004.
In 2005, the Pai Group started Pai Resorts, which is situated in the fort area opposite to lake.
Today, the Pai Group is managed by the new generation with the Pai brothers alone managing the entire management.
