For example, Dr. Shenoi’s students have built computer networks for low-income schools and conducted tutoring programs for under-privileged children.
For his innovative leadership and foresight, the Carnegie Foundation in 1998 named Dr. Shenoi a U.S. Professor of the Year:
“I’ve been asked to move this program by many prestigious universities on both coasts. But why would I? I have exceptional students and the resources I need right here in Oklahoma!”
