VI Conference of CorpBank Retired Officers on Feb 6

The sixth conference of the Corporation Bank Retired Officers' Association (CBROA) will be held on Monday at CBOO Hall Kodialbail and will be inaugurated by Corporation Bank chairman V K Chopra. This was informed by association president K Achuth Shenoy at a press conference here on Saturday.

Bank of Baroda Retired Officers' Association general secretary and Retired Bank Officers' national confederation general secretary V T Makhwana will deliver the keynote address on the past, present and the future of bank retired officers in India.

The CBROA formed in 1996 has now completed 10 years and has also won the encouragement and support from the retired officers, said Shenoy adding that the sole objective of the association was to assist retired officers in matters like health and education.

The association has launched schemes like CBROA Benevolent Fund, CBRO Family Welfare Scheme and CBROA Medical Benefit Scheme. All these schemes have received good response from its members, he said. The membership has the crossed 400 mark in October 2005 and the retired officials of the bank could get reimbursement of medical expenses from the bank with effect from April 1, 1998 onwards.

Also, the association was been able to get exgratia amount for those who retired before 1986 and from April 1, 2005 the spouse of those who retired before 1986 could get exgratia amount from the bank, he added.
