A KONKANI show organised by Goan Stars at the Ministry of Education Hall attracted a large number of expatriates.
The show, Suka fullam khoxtam kantte, was directed by Dominic.
Pradeep Naik and Luiza were the two star performers. Jose Road, Francis de Teum, Bab Andrew, Albert Querbine, Willym comedian Dominic and Louis Bachaan were the other artistes of the show.
Blena D Souza won a Doha-Muscat-Mumbai-Muscat-Doha ticket at a draw held at the event. The draw was organised by Oman Air.
Two lucky entrance tickets, sponsored by Mercure Accor were also given to the winners.
Middle East Information Publications was the main sponsor of the show. Sign-tech Neon and SriLankan Airlines were the co-sponsors.
Earlier, John N Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Fr Gasper Fernandes was the chief guest. Carlito Martins compered the show.
A minute silence was observed in memory of the Al Rafa Publications Managing Director R S Abdul Rahman who died last month. The gathering also mourned the death of Louis Fernandes who died in India.
Fernandes, a former Doha resident, was actively involved in many cultural and sport activities of the community.
