ISA, NXP Take Stock Of Semiconductors

India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the national body for the Indian semiconductor industry, organised a round table discussion on 'Changes in Semiconductor: Industrial Landscape and implications for India'. The discussion was addressed by Ajit Manocha, chief manufacturing officer of NXP Semiconductors (formerly known as Philips Semiconductors). Many eminent industry leaders came together to participate in this discussion.

According to Ajit Manocha, "The need of the hour for the industry is to work in a collaborative manner to create technologically advanced electronic products. The growing interdependence between IDMs, fabless semiconductor companies, foundries and assembly subcontractors will help address this issue and develop high quality products available at the low costs, in the shortest time.

Speaking at the discussion, Poornima Shenoy, president ISA, said "ISA is focused on facilitating collaboration within the industry by providing a platform for companies to come together and work towards building the semiconductor industry in India."
